Lake Elsinore Announces Development of Region’s First Private Indoor Hockey Ice Rink – Opening April 2026
The City of Lake Elsinore proudly announces the development of the region’s first private indoor hockey ice rink, Ice Cave, scheduled to open in April 2026. Located off Corydon Road, this premier facility marks a major milestone for Lake Elsinore and Southwest Riverside County, bringing the fast-paced world of ice sports to Southern California’s premier action sports destination.
Recognized as the Action Sports Capital of the World, Lake Elsinore continues to expand its dynamic recreational offerings with the addition of this state-of-the-art indoor rink. Ice Cave will host youth and adult hockey leagues, skating programs, figure skating, private skate sessions, tournaments, camps, and special events.
“We’ve built a reputation for delivering world-class experiences on land, in the air, and on the water. Now, we are bringing that same energy and opportunity to the ice. This project reflects our commitment to innovation, recreation, and creating destinations that serve our residents and attract visitors from across the region,” said Mayor Robert “Bob” Magee.
The climate-controlled, year-round facility will provide athletes and families with a professional and welcoming environment to train, compete, and enjoy ice sports locally. With long-term plans to attract regional tournaments and competitive events, the rink is expected to draw participants and spectators from throughout Southern California, further strengthening Lake Elsinore’s growing reputation as both a recreational hotspot and economic driver.
“Lake Elsinore continues to redefine what it means to be a true hub for action sports,” said Gina Gonzalez, Director of Economic Development and Legislative Affairs for the City of Lake Elsinore. “Ice Cave aligns directly with the City’s Action Sports Industry Growth and Attraction Plan and our Dream Extreme 2040 vision. This development expands access to high-quality recreational opportunities, supports tourism, and reinforces our strategy to position Lake Elsinore as a destination for sports innovation and community connection.” For updates on Ice Cave, visit www.icecaveentertainment.com.
