Lake Elsinore Cultural Center

Home to the Lake Elsinore City Council and Lake Elsinore Historical Society Museum and Research Library.

Dream Extreme Neighborhood Center

Drop in daily for a variety of recreation classes including dance, tiny tots, early education, and fitness. Plus, the center is home to city's first-ever Youth Room, equipped with big screens and games for all to socialize and enjoy.

Lake Community Center

Built in the 1950s as a movie theater, the Lake Community Center was renovated in 1990. The center still offers programs for all ages, including seniors' and after school programs, drop in sports and recreational classes.

Parks

Home to over 120 acres of developed parkland across 19 parks, Lake Elsinore has everything from playgrounds and barbecues to athletic fields and skate parks.

Lake Elsinore Senior Activity Center

The Lake Elsinore Senior Activity Center provides a wide variety of recreational, self-enrichment and education programs for participants 55 and older.

Housing

Lake Elsinore is a city on the grow! As of the 2020 census, there were 21,125 total housing units within the city limits. Roughly 22,520 units are currently in the development pipeline, with 152 under construction as of May 2024 and a projection of 1,674 units completed by the second quarter of 2026.

There is a mix of housing available in Lake Elsinore, from single-family dwellings to an array of multifamily homes including condominiums and townhomes, and rural estate homes. Residents also have a number of options when it comes to affordable housing and becoming a homeowner.

Schools

One of Riverside County’s oldest school systems, Lake Elsinore Unified School District (LEUSD) operates across much of Southwest Riverside County, serving families in Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, and Wildomar, and several unincorporated Riverside County communities, including Lakeland Village and Horsethief Canyon.

The district is the 49th largest district in the state of California, and operates 12 elementary schools, four middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, two K-8 schools, and four alternative education schools. District-wide, nearly 2,500 district staff teach over 21,000 TK-12 students each day. LEUSD engages students in innovative and diverse ways, including dual immersion, AVID, STEAM, visual and performing arts, Career and Technical education, advanced placement, and much more.

Higher Education

Both Mt San Jacinto College (MSJC), and Cal State University of San Marcos service the Lake Elsinore area. MSJC provides the culinary arts and hospitality program, Allied Health, Digital Media, Cyber Security, to name a few,  and Cal State University of San Marcos University offer bachelor’s degrees in business administration, software engineering, and an accelerated bachelors degree in nursing to support the local economy and regional needs.
