Lake Elsinore Adopts New Film Attraction Plan
The City of Lake Elsinore has officially adopted its new FILM LE Attraction Plan, a strategic initiative designed to attract film, television, commercial, and digital media productions while creating new economic opportunities for local businesses and residents.
Approved by the City Council on June 9, the plan establishes a coordinated approach to making Lake Elsinore one of Southern California’s most film-friendly communities. Built around the principles of “Be Fast, Be Film-Friendly, and Be Visible,” the plan focuses on streamlining the filming process and promoting the City’s unique locations to the entertainment industry.
Key initiatives include faster permit processing, a dedicated Film LE team to assist productions, a new film-focused website and location catalog, stronger partnerships with film industry organizations, and outreach to film schools and emerging filmmakers.
With its scenic lakefront, mountain views, historic downtown, action sports venues, and diverse landscapes, Lake Elsinore offers a variety of filming opportunities all within one destination. The plan also supports local hotels, restaurants, service providers, and workforce development efforts by encouraging more productions to film in the city.
Implementation of the plan will begin immediately, with city staff working to enhance filming resources, strengthen industry partnerships, and market Lake Elsinore as a premier filming destination.
The FILM LE Attraction Plan represents another step forward in expanding economic opportunities and showcasing the unique character of Lake Elsinore to audiences around the world.
